About the wine
After being crowned 100 points and reaching perfection he took to Napa Valley to create a series of wines, known as World’s End, that would shake the very ground beneath us.
Vinification is very similar to the wines he makes in France. After sorting to remove the most miniscule aspects of unwanted leaves they enter the de-stemmer, grape by grape, a long cold soak before fermentation occurs. The wines undergo their malolactic fermentation in new and one or two year French oak, and are aged in the same oak.
An Englishman from Africa, he formed a successful International Engineering company in his early twenties which he sold when he was 35. On 'gardening' leave in the South West of France he met a vigneron who changed his path for good. In return for no pay he received intensive practical study in viticulture and oenology. Two years later purchased 'Chateau Teyssier', a Saint Emilion Grand Cru in need renovation. That it's had - the vineyard has been increased to ten times its former size with a state-of-the-art winery put in place. His wines are sold in over 55 countries.
