The Treana label capitalizes on the trifecta of elements that make Paso Robles ideal for winemaking: sun, soil, and the sea. From vineyards that ripen intensely flavorful Cabernet Sauvignon, Treana sculpts bold, intense red wines that remain smooth, elegant, and refined on the palate.
The 2015 red blend is an opaque and powerful combination of spicy, smoky Syrah and burly Cabernet Sauvignon that explodes with ripe, jammy fruit, and spicy, Mexican chocolate and coffee aromas
About the wine
The Hope family has been grounded in the Central Coast of California for nearly 40 years, and still remains intrigued by (and in love with!) the magical combination of sunny skies and ocean breezes that make Paso Robles such a special region. Austin Hope learned from one of the best in Chuck Wagner of Caymus. He carries his family torch, and has built Treana into one of Paso's powerhouse wineries!
Laser-focused on sun-loving reds, the Treana label translates Paso’s terroir into reds worthy of decanting, but still thoroughly BBQ ready.
This addicting combination of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon is one you won’t be able to put down! Blackberry pie, pomegranate, black currant and cassis jockey for position on the palate, picking up after aromas of mocha, cinnamon spice, and fresh fruit jam.
The finish is unexpectedly (and refreshingly) delicate, rounded out by notes of leather and lavender in a compelling, long finish.

"This is easily a 5 ★ wine, even at 4x the price. Actually, given it's QPR, it is a 6 ★ wine." - Patrick M.
"This is such a delicious blend. Wonderful price as well." - Damon H.
“Inky, bold fruity front end with dry finish. Love this wine.” John C.

"Big Bright bold and dense purple color meets a voluptuous nose of dark blackberry, cedar, sage, dark chocolate, baking spice, ginger root, road tar, fragrantly dried vanilla bean. A Big mouthfeel up front delivering dark bold fruit flavors, cocoa, vanilla, earthy depth and moderate acidity. This has notable concentration and still gives a fresh sensation on the finish. Pair with rustic beef stew, grilled blackened rib-eye with sauce Bearnaise or cheddar bacon cheeseburger. Drink now and well into the next decade, but better in 2020"
