From the winery:
Tommaso Cavalli is personally involved in the production of his wines, taking advantage of the valuable oenological expertise of Carlo Ferrini and of the agronomic skill of Gioia Cresti. A winning squad confirming the growing passion and strong ambition of quality after ten years of the Tenuta Degli Dei project.
The bond between Tommaso Cavalli and his land has its origins in a true passion which has taken shape in the form of the estate owned by the family since the early seventies, Tenuta degli Dei, to which Tommaso and his father Roberto have devoted thirty years of intensive work. The estate is located in the village of San Leolino, near Panzano in Chianti.
The territory’s characteristics make it ideal for horse-breeding. The vineyards have been planted in the Conca d’Oro valley which, thanks to its soil and exposure to sunlight, is perfectly suitable for wine-growing.
Tenuta Degli Dei embodies the Cavalli family’s lifelong commitment to farming, wine-making and horse-breeding, the symbols of Tuscany in the world.

Bold, rich, and velvety palate that moves through layers of black cherry, dark fruit, tobacco, baking spices, and minerality on a lingering finish

"Dark blueberry and shiitake mushroom turn to mineral and blue fruits. Full body, juicy and rich. Soft and round. Gorgeous. Rich style but remains so velvety. Available in January 2017. Better in 2019."
