Wines of this caliber rarely surface, and almost never from South America, but the Tapiz Alta Cabernet is unmatched in every sense of the word. Not only does this magenta-hued red hail from the Southern hemisphere’s unmatched Uco Valley appellation, but it’s guided from grape to glass by Jean-Claude Berrouet and Fabian Valenzuela of the iconic Chateau Petrus and globally-acclaimed Catena Zapata, respectively.
About the wine
Tapiz’s Alta Collection Cabernet Sauvignon does not disappoint! A single vineyard, highly scored wine at this price? Unheard of! Perfect for summer nights and backyard barbeques, this wine is made to be shared but we won’t blame you if you keep a few for yourself!
Enticing aromas of black currant and dark berries, lure you in. Followed by a palate filled with intense brooding dark fruits and a playful spice. The genius winemaking of Jean Claude Berrouet is pure magic. Showcasing a fine balance of softness and structure, we know this Cab could easily spend some time in a cellar but is readily available to be enjoyed today.
