About the wine
2016 was a year of small concentrated crop size with quality that is extraordinary. The growing season was warm and dry and harvest was quick and furious. The Artemis is an aerial tour of Napa Valley, flying over the patchwork of vineyards that have made the valley and its wines famous. Atlas Peak and Coombsville make up the majority of the blend but the refining touch is achieved by adding a dash of Estate Grown Fay and SLV vineyard fruit. The 2016 ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon opens with inviting aromas of dark cherry and berry fruit, cassis, sweet vanilla and a hint of olive. On the palate, the wine has a smooth entry with a rich mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste of black cherry and dusty cocoa.

"This is a fabulous hearty Cab, fantastic nose with great structure. One of the best California Cabs" - Doug S.
"2015 vintage will be a good one for Napa based on this one." - Lucas L.

"Robust nearly opaque purple with vivid hue. The nose is powerful with notes of blackberry, deep red cherry, Asian spices, forest floor, cedar and anise that brings out the tension in the palate. The fleshy and refined palate delivers black currants, black raspberry, red raspberry, black plum finishing with spices well-manicured tannins and plentiful fruit structure. This needs some time to soften up, but the decanter should help do the trick."
