About the wine
After decades working behind big labels like Coppola Family, Inglenook, and Sebastiani Sam Llyod and Adam Ivor have taken winemaking into their own hands and the vineyards in their backyard--which just happen to be some of the best in Napa. The husband and wife team put their deep roots in wine country to work in Solid, which is all about great wines at fantastic prices, and in the Chardonnay, they’ve succeeded.
Their 2015 expression of the cool Los Carneros appellation is rich and ripe, with stone fruit, lemon zest and pastry on the palate. Barrel fermented, and aging sur lie gives this inexpensive white complexity that rarely exists in sub $50 bottles, Solid is ready to knock your socks off! This isn’t a value Chardonnay, it’s a premium wine masquerading as one.

"Showcasing golden chardonnay color, lots of spiced pear, baked apple, Meyer lemon, mandarin zest and fleshy yellow fruits. This has a medium plus weight with fair tension echoing the palate on the finish, with hints of butterscotch. This is showing it's grace at the moment. Sure to be a dinner party surprise if you pair with the right dish…Roasted White Wine Chicken Breast, Seabass en Papillote, White Seafood Bouillabaisse."
