"Thoroughly old-school, offering briary cherry aromas and evocative raspberry, cracked pepper and dusty sage flavors that finish with zesty tannins. Drink now through 2026. 8,690 cases made."

"Medium to deep garnet-purple, the 2015 Zinfandel Old Vine offers a beguiling nose of crushed blueberries, Black Forest cake and crème de cassis with hints of dried roses, licorice, incense and tilled soil. Full-bodied, rich and with wonderful purity, it has an amazing frame of ripe, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and perfumed."

"Showing a deep core, the 2015 Old Vine Zinfandel starts with aromatics reminiscent of prune, blueberry syrup and bramble nuances. Rich and wonderfully poised, the wine shows black tea, blackberry cobbler and milk chocolate flavors with lively acidity. This is a gorgeous wine by Seghesio that will continue to drink well with some additional bottle age."

About the wine
When Seghesio classifies this Zinfandel as “Old Vine”, they aren’t messing around. Just to be considered, the vines have to be at least 50 years old but most have an average age of 70! These vines are essentially Sonoma County royalty and winemaker, Andy Robinson knows exactly how to showcase the crown jewels!
This family owned estate is dedicated to producing the best Zinfandel and the Old Vine yields a palate full of dark fruit, a warm spice, all with a round acidity and velvety tannins to pull it all together. As we move into Autumn, we couldn’t think of a better wine.
