Since the 1999 vintage, Provenance and its Rutherford roots have been making superlative wines that puts consistently puts Napa’s unique sense of time and place right in the crosshairs. Twenty years later, they’ve released their second rendition of their Deadeye Red Blend, and those who love opulence and hedonism in the glass have been put on notice.
Aromas of black cherry, wild blackberries and roasted espresso lead into an opulent palate of roasted plums, crushed raspberries and sweet vanilla. Fleshy and chewy, this is for those who crave unapologetically bold and brash reds that shoot first and ask questions later.

"Bullseye! This is good! Dried black cherries and cedar nose. Black currant and black cherry fruits. Full bodied, mocha, black pepper and leather finish." Kapyrick
"What I like about this wine is how it changes from one moment to the next. It starts with blueberry and dark cherry, clove and cinnamon. Then transforms to a super creamy cherry vanilla sweetness. Next it highlights the spices and leathery sensations of a bazaar in Marrakech. It’s like the journey of life. Sometimes good, sometimes really great. Now it’s changed again to cherry cola, and then the next gulp is aromatic cedar. This wine is an experience, and we need those to feel alive. Enjoy." Lainie A.
"Bold ...big and bold! Initially on the nose was the scent of hot chocolate with whipped cream. This quickly disappeared and formulated into a more coca and dark chocolate nose. The taste is deepest of dark fruits, plum and coffee. The finish is long and smooth despite a little on the dry side. All is my prefer experience in a Napa cab.." Joe
