Italy is on a multi-year year tear of spectacular vintages, recently 2015 brought on ultra-ripe broad appeal wines across the entire country but it was in 2016 that Italy is showing its true colors of perfectly balanced elixirs! Primitivo Salento is one of those wines and it speaks a thousand words in one sip! Delivering everything you desire in a great Italian red! Don’t miss it!
About the wine
The old vines at Montemajor, average age of 50 years, provide this incredible depth of flavour. Bright red fruit such as bing cherries and raspberries are balanced by zippy acidity and sandy tannins. Some dark notes of licorice and spice add a layer of complexity and break up the fruit.

"Great wine, enjoyable for more then one glass."
"Great Syrah, so much power berry!"

"The wine has a beautiful dark violet red colour. The wine has an impressive fruity aroma with hints of sun-ripened berries and cherries, as well as classic spicy notes. The wine has a lovely - both gentle and impressive - structure, for here is both plenty of fullness and concentrated and fresh fruit, but it's all wrapped in soft tannins that give a wonderful taste experience. The wine ends in a long, nice and light sweetness full aftertaste."
