From Wine Enthusiast’s 2015 Winery of the Year, JUSTIN creates some of the best wines from Paso Robles we’ve ever tasted. This wine delivers on all the juicy Cabernet Sauvignon notes of cassis, blackberry and hints of pepper but with an Old-World restraint. The 2017 vintage is the 30th anniversary vintage and we are so excited to share it with you. 

About the wine

Justin Baldwin originally purchased 160 acres in Paso Robles, in 1981, with the intention of crafting some of the world's finest wines. He planted 3 out of the 5 classic Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The philosophy at JUSTIN is to combine Old World methods with New World technology. It seems this philosophy pays off, JUSTIN's 2014 vintage of Justification was awarded the #24 spot on Wine Spectator's Top 100 list 2017

From the winemaker:

Dry, nearly full bodied, with ripe black cherry, cassis and red fruit, baking spice and oak accents on entry with sustained ripe primary and mostly black fruit, dried autumn leaf, cocoa and a pleasant suggestion of camphor on the mid-palate into the finish. The finish is fresh and moderately long, showing lingering cherry and berry notes with oak and barrel spice nicely supported by fine, balanced tannins.
