Winemaker John Duval stacked the deck when he made Entity, combining the mighty legacy of Penfold’s Grange with incredible Barossa Valley Shiraz. The undisputed leader of Australia’s move from critter wines to premium production, Duval’s wine’s have a legacy all their own of combining precious concentration and rare elegance in Shiraz.

Lush fruit flavors, layers of cedar and spice, plus firm tannins make Entity a wine that will reward time in the cellar, but dares you to open it today. Unlike Penfold’s, there’s actually a few bottles of Entity left to share, but only until this deal sells out--Don’t Wait!

About the wine

Violets, blackberry, and plum collide in Entity’s 2015 release in a bottle that dares to rival Penfold’s Grange at 1/10 the price. Long the mastermind behind Grange’s epic rise to stardom, Duval’s wines are a treasure on their own, and a rare deal outside of Australia.

Born and raised in the Barossa Valley where Shiraz is king, Duval knows a thing or two about big reds--and you can taste it. A masterful combination of premium old vine complexity, Entity drips with nuance and elegance, framed by firm tannins that give the ‘15 poise to last for decades. Robust, plummy fruit mingles with cedar, cocoa, and French Oak spice on the palate in a medley that’s impossible to resist.

Shockingly smooth and approachable today, Entity is begging for a spot in the cellar, and we’re begging you not to pass it up--this is a singular Shiraz that won’t be back.

"Very nice shiraz. Elegant and smooth yet spicy. This is what I like in a shiraz." - PW

"Matured for 17 months in French oak (35% new). Reflects - in the best sense - John Duval's long career as the chief architect of Grange. This brings together depth, texture and complexity to a palette (sic) of black fruits, ripe tannins and oak. It cries out for patience (as does Grange), and the greater your patience, the greater the reward"
