About the wine
Ultra Limited Bottlings
Hartford Court specializes in making wines from single vineyard sites. In recent vintages they have made about 25 different single vineyard bottlings. Small and low-yielding vineyards deliver expressive and personality-rich wine. Their single vineyard Hartford Court Chardonnays total as few as 93 cases, up to about 800 cases. Their single vineyard wines are highly allocated and the RRV is very hard to come by.

"This is a juicy and ripe tropical fruits, vanilla, banana, pineapple and mango. Creamy creme brûlée, toasted almonds. Nice long and elegant finish.”

"The 2012 Chardonnay Stone Cote Vineyard (a block within the Durell Vineyard planted on gravelly riverbed soils) is 100% barrel-fermented and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Made from a combination of Old Wente clones and some of the newer Chardonnay clones, it exhibits a terrific wet rock/powdered stone-like minerality along with beautiful aromas of exotic fruits (mangoes and tangerines), great intensity, full body, terrific acidity, and 14.8% alcohol. This beautiful Burgundian-styled Chardonnay should be enjoyed over the next 7-8 years.
One of the most impressively run wineries in the Russian River AVA is the Hartford Family Winery, where proprietor Don Hartford is backed up by winemaker Jeff Stewart as well as all the resources of the Jackson Family Vineyards. These are Burgundian-styled Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, and their Zinfandels are All-American, full-throttle, pedal-to-the metal efforts that are consistently at the top of their class."
