Fontodi Flaccianello puts the best of the best in a single bottle! Classic, Tuscan Sangiovese--complete with its glorious cherry aromatics and earthy undertones--meets New World polish in the form of Cabernet Sauvignon in this charming red that’s built for the dinner table, but sculpted for the cellar.
Crafted by Italy’s top enologist, nicknamed Mr. Sangiovese thanks to his fame at Folonari, Felsina, Sartori, a rare once a year occurence!
About the wine
A terrific wine with a well-concentrated but seamless presentation of flavors. Black fruited and nicely concentrated. The aromatics are savory and dark with alluring interest of chocolate. This wine is ultra rich but has a bright and pristine mouthfeel that makes it so interesting and elegant.

"Excellent super Tuscan"
97 pts, James Suckling
"The aromas are crystal-clear here, ranging from dark cherry essence, dried herbs and dark plums to licorice, cloves, vanilla and paprika. Full body, very velvety yet firm tannins and a long, grippy finish. The tension created with the interplay between the rich fruit, taut acidity and a sturdy tannin backbone is so enticing. Drink in 2022. Made from organically grown grapes."

"Rich and opulent, with a sheen to the black currant and blackberry fruit flavors. Additional notes of thyme, leather, mineral and tar add depth, while the burly tannins still ride roughshod on the finish. Nonetheless, all the components are there and this shows fine length. A more muscular style for this wine, reflecting the vintage. Sangiovese. Best from 2021 through 2035."
