Exciting new release from Duckhorn! Be one of the first people in Canada to get it!
You might not be familiar with Columbia Valley, Washington but trust us when we say, this is the NEW Napa Valley! Long warm summer days, minimal rainfall and mountains to keep the temperature just right, this little area is a haven for perfectly grown Cabernet Sauvignon. And we know Duckhorn knows how to make Cabernet Sauvignon!
Winemaker Brian Rudin, has the gentle touch to coax layers of ripe berry notes (think black currant, blackberry, raspberry) boosted by the Malbec. Merlot bringing in some velvety black and red plum notes, creating this overall amazing wine that easily rivals the greats from Napa Valley.
Here's how Brian describes the first release:
"Dark ruby in color, the 2018 Greenwing Cabernet Sauvignon from Columbia Valley presents generous and pure black and red fruit aromatics, framed in spicy and aromatic oak. Black plum and bing cherry lead the way, followed by notions of clove, brown sugar, and mocha. On the palate, the wine is broad, juicy, and plummy. Plush, with lots of body, the wine finishes with noble presence and fine-grain tannins."

"Dry cab with big juicy red fruit and black fruit, low acid and smooth tannins. Absolutely delicious and paired nidely with some wood fired chicken." John B.
"Dry and medium bodied, structured on the tongue with a pleasant, lingering finish, the taste rivals anything from Napa. Pretty label, too, definitely going to get this one again." Matt W.
"Beautiful dark purple color with great legs. Big cherry and dark sweet fruit on the nose. Full bodied with wonderful balance. Tannins and cherries linger on the long finish. Great value at this price point, Napa would be twice as much at least." Dave N.
