From the depths of Saint-Estèphe, Chatea La Commanderie is a commanding presence on any table. The family-owned estate shares the same terroir as classified growths like Cos d’Estournel and Chateau Montrose, but releases its signature reds at a fraction of the price. About the wine

The 2015 vintage was absolutely stellar in across Bordeaux, and the beauty of the season, according to the experts at Wine Enthusiast is that less famous Chateaux produced bottles that rival the 1st Growths in an unheard of scenario that benefits drinkers everywhere!

Chateau La Commanderie is one of those lucky estates. The most Northerly appellation, Saint-Estèphe relies on gravel and chalk soils to produce dense, ageable wines renowned for their distinct cedar and cassis aromatics.  In a delicious twist of ate, the ‘15 season gave La Commanderie optimal conditions resulting in a dark, polished wine that’s a mirror image of its prestigious neighbors at Cos d’Estournel. With the region’s signature structure, this wine is destined for a long evolution in any cellar. Drink up!
