After crafting the world’s most coveted Cabernet Sauvignons, 100-point winemaker Andy Erickson has his pick of projects —and even he was inspired by the rugged terroir of Amador County’s Casino Mine Ranch!
A Grenache Blanc with a twist, this golden elixir has the vibrant body Chardonnay lovers crave, with a brightness perfect for warm Autumn days. Single vineyard excellence, this gold country wine is the Mother Lode!
About the wine
Housed in a century-old ranch in the heart of Gold Country, Casino Mine Ranch pays homage to Amador County’s long tradition of grape growing. Located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, the region boasts America’s oldest grapevines.
Sourced from a single block on the family-owned estate vineyard, the 2016 vintage was hot and dry, but leading to an early harvest of exceptional, high-quality grapes. Less than 200 cases remain of their exquisite Grenache Blanc, which is partially aged in New Oak for a lush mouthfeel that makes it a crowd pleaser for everyone from Pinot Grigio enthusiasts to lovers of creamy Chardonnay. Add in the prestige and track record of legendary winemaker Andy Erickson of Screaming Eagle, Leviathan, and Napa’s cult powerhouses, and this Grenache Blanc is an insane deal!
